Where is Diamond Sword based, and where do you work?
Our premises and workshop are at Industrial ICAD III in Abu Dhabi, and we deliver across the United Arab Emirates. Most of our completed work is in Abu Dhabi, where the manufacturing, the workforce and the client base all are.
How long has Diamond Sword been operating?
For over twenty years, delivering interior fit-out, joinery and furniture for institutions in the UAE. The company is a member of Al Manara Holding Group.
Which sectors do you deliver for?
Ten specialised divisions cover government, commercial, educational, healthcare, hospitality, residential, retail, industrial, edutainment and service projects. Delivered work includes ADNOC, ECSSR, EWEC, a biobank, schools, a nursery and a five-star hotel.
Do you design as well as build?
Yes. Design development is part of a turnkey contract, and work is taken on a design-and-build basis where a client wants it — the Biobank in Masdar City was delivered that way.
Can I buy furniture without a fit-out, or a fit-out without furniture?
Either. They are usually better bought together, because that removes the coordination gap between the company building the interior and the company furnishing it, but each is taken on its own.
Do you work as a subcontractor to a main contractor?
Yes. A joinery or furniture package can be let inside another contractor's project. We are a licensed UAE contractor, ISO certified and ICV certified, so the documentation a main contractor needs from a subcontractor already exists.
What do you need from me to price a project?
Drawings or a room schedule, the sector, the location, and the date it has to be handed over. If a brand standard or a furniture standard applies, that too. If you have none of it yet, tell us the space and the head count and we will start there.
Can I see delivered work, or speak to a client who has used you?
Yes to both. Detailed case studies, references and a full portfolio are available on request, under NDA where a client requires it. A site visit or a conversation with the people who would run your project can be arranged.
How quickly can you start, and how long will it take?
That depends on the scope and on what is manufactured rather than sourced, so it is answered per project rather than in general. Send us the brief and the date you need, and we will tell you whether the date is achievable before you commit to it.
Who do I contact about a job at Diamond Sword?
Applications go through the careers page rather than the enquiry form, so they reach the right people. We employ joiners, installers, engineers and project managers directly rather than through a labour supplier.
